These are the books and websites that have been the most helfpful and encouraging to us and to other parents we have talked to. We hope this list helps anyone looking to get more information for themselves. If you have a resource that has helped you, please contact us so we can inform other parents about it!

Books:
Mother Warriors by Jenny McCarthy- This book is fantastic if you are looking for hope and encouragement.

The Autism Book by S. Jhoanna Robledo and Dawn Ham-Kucharski

Special-Needs Kids Eat Right by Judy Converse

More than Words by Fern Sussman- This book is if your Autistic child has language or speech delays. It's a large book (and we are still trying to get through it all) however it is giving us a great understanding in how our son communicates now and how to help him moving forward.

The Kid-Friendly ADHD & Autism Cookbook by Pamela J. Compart and Dana Laake- If you are new to a Gluten/Casein Free Diet, this book is a MUST. It breaks everything down so that the diet and foods are easy to understand. It includes how to read and look for gluten and casein on the nutrition labels and how to substitute ingredients. It also has many great recipes in it.

A Work in Progress by Ron Leaf & John McEachin-
After learning that insurance did not provide coverage for the necessary ABA therapy for our son, we decided that we would learn how to do the therapy ourselves. This book is awesome for parents attempting to do that. It makes ABA therapy easy to understand and gives a curriculum.

Behavioral Intervention for Young Children with Autism by Catherine maurice, Gina Green & Stephen C. Luce-
This is another book on ABA that we purchased to help teach us about ABA therapy. It's a manual on how to implement an ABA therapy program based on proven methods.

The Verbal Behavior Approach: How to Teach Children with Autism and Related Disorders by Mary Lynch Barbera
This book is also based on ABA/VB therapy. It was submitted to us by a mother of an Autistic child, and she said this book has been the most helpful in helping her daughter.

Please feel free to contact us with any resources that have helped you! We would love to add them to our list!
